in unproductive patterns of behaviors. As a Trauma Informed Therapist it is
my privilege to help you overcome obstacles and soothe your inner hurts. It
takes courage to reach out for help, and the daunting task of finding a
therapist who understands your cultural lens makes therapy seem "hardly worth
the effort". I am honored to be a part of your journey to optimal mental

J. Rene’ Tucker, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, focusing on
multi-generational trauma in Communities of Color and providing culturally
responsive treatment in the healing process. Rene’ has worked in the Social Work field for more
than 22 years in community mental health and in August 2015 open her private practice counseling
services, We Rise, LLC. Additionally, from 2006 to July 2015 Rene was employed as the Senior
Program Manager with Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare-Garlington Center where she managed two
mental health outpatient programs: Recovery Services and HOPWA. Recovery Services served
individuals with severe mental illnesses and/or co-occurring disorders.
HOPWA provided mental health treatment services for individuals diagnosed positive with AIDS.
Rene’ holds a Master degree in Social Work, Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Certificate
in Black Studies. In addition, Rene’ has received extensive training in trauma informed care;
culturally responsive treatment modalities and substance dependence disorders for African Americans.
Rene’s mission is to work collaboratively with others to co-create systems that reinforces diversity,
equity, inclusion and healing the wounds of Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome.

Payment by cash or check is preferred; however, Venmo and all major credit cards are accepted.
Therapeutic services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Insurances currently accepted include but may not be limited to: Optum, Aetna,
Health Share, Family Care, Care Oregon, MODA, PacificSource, Providence, Providence Prefered, Regence BlueCross
BlueShield, Reliant, United Behavioral Health Plan (UBH), United Health Care,
United Medical Resources (UMR) and Cascade- EAP, Managed Health Network (MHN). If you are uncertain
if your session will be covered by your insurance plan, please contact your insurance company.
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have
not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a missed session fee of $50.
